Dear BENNIE G. THOMPSON “Chairman” and LIZ CHENEY “Vice Chair”, as “Honorable Members” on the “Select Committee Investigating the January 6th “Attack” on the United States Capitol”;

Urgency - CRITICAL - Submitted December 12th, 2021

This is a request that the “Select Committee” Chairman immediately suspend Representative Jamie Raskin as a “Committee Member” from any further involvement with the January 6th “ATTACK” on the U.S. Capitol, with respect its Congressionally approved “investigation”.

On Sunday December 12th, it was reported by an ordinary citizen, a Mr. Rob Reiner appearing on MSNBC as a guest, that he held a private conversation on or about December 11th with Mr. Raskin, wherein the subject matter discussed was in regard to what the “Select Committee” was finding through its investigation, or words to that effect in knowledge information that is not available to the “public”. Be it known that Mr. Reiner does not represent any U.S. citizen in any capacity, in this matter before the “Committee” or any matters before the 117th Congress on the citizens’ behalf, that should have allowed this “Hollywood” actor to find preferential “informational” treatment with any member of this “Committee” - it points to the fact this “Committee” may be out of control the reason so much miss-information is causing concern.

The “Select Committee” should not be contributing to this misinformation in challenge by demonstrating such an eviction away from the conviction, that which should not allow select individuals outside the “Committee” and not associated with the news media such “Committee Member” access.

When the “Committee” deems it necessary to communicate, there exists a correct and sound ways and means method for doing so, not through a movie star. A freedom above and beyond the normal channels in communicating is not a sound approach.

Had this been a tribunal, a court setting, it would surely invite a “mistrial”. With that said, this “Committee” has no other choice then to dismiss Mr. Raskin, for a blatant disregard in violating “confidentiality” and violating his oath in “representing all” and this “Committee” should immediately make available to the “public” any and all transcripts of that conversation between Mr. Raskin and Mr. Reiner, in essence what else did Mr. Raskin communicate with Mr. Reiner with respect to this “Committee’s” investigation that has not been made public while Mr. Reiner enjoyed such access with Mr. Raskin and then using the MSNBC new’s media as a "sounding board" stage.
