Wow, I just finished a
secret review of the script for a documentary about the EXXON Valdez
wreck, a picture show reminder to commemorate the upcoming
25-Anniversary of the Bligh Reef disaster. It is very convincing, as
this documentary sets it out in a clear and convincing manner, sets
the stage as to what really went on in the early morning hours of
March 24th in 1989 and sent Joe's fully laden crude oil tanker into
the rocks – which commenced the beginning of the worst maritime
accident ever of record in Alaska. An incident that today still shows
its ugly aftermath fallout, as recovery is very slow in Prince
William Sound. Oil still wrecks havoc the environment and the herring
fishery has never recovered. The flick will be very convincing in
changing the mindset, a complete turnaround of what we were coaxed
into believing who was at blame, based on the fact that “No One”
was ever named the responsible party for this disaster, Not Joe, Not
EXXON, nobody! There came no legal consequences for “criminal”
activity. Considering the count of dead eagles attributable to the
wreck, it could have sent the entire board of directors for the EXXON
Corporation to jail for life! Yes, the “Bald Eagle Protection Act”
gave the Federal government the jurisdiction and the hand-cuffs to
put away the EXXON CEO and many of his underlings. But nobody went to
jail, and Joe was committed to some community service! Why? It is
called “Not Guilty”. And when the testimony of Alyeska workers,
dedicated workers who saw themselves as environmentalists also and
not only oil men, when this documentary reveals the truth of the
matter, the credibility of the critics that hounded Alyeska for years
– like Charles Hamel and Dan Lawn – after seeing this
documentary, one will realize that these critics have no credibility.
This is the turning point, as these critics even held Congress
hostage and at their disposal to make waves for the oil companies
operating in Alaska. It appears they were both on a personal vendetta
against oil in Alaska. They wanted this wreck to happen! Then there
is the introduction to Al and Norm – the former a disgruntled
ex-pipeline worker who was an expert in radio communications, and was
under the microscope by Alyeska security for compromising the radio
security along the pipeline and had access to the navigational
equipment aboard the tankers – as a contract technician that was
responsible for “calibrating” the radar stuff. In fact, Eat Pie
Productions, which is managing the filming of this long awaited for
documentary, it has received another anonymous donation to help with
finances at bringing this documentary to the “Big Screen” or as
an exclusive on local broadcasts, to get the truth of the matter out,
even though it is many years later. With something the serious, it is
never too late. Now Eat Pie Production advisors are still trying to
paint the picture that this documentary is not intended to exonerate
EXXON, and that EXXON has not to their knowledge donated any money
towards this documentary, as it was that corporation's oil - so
modern day law dictates the responsible party. But when one realizes
that this wreck may have been planned out of greed, out of lost
fortunes and affiliation with disgruntled individuals that preached
it was to happen, and it did, the evidence along with the testimony
reveals that maybe after 25-years the truth of the matter will be
front and center this catastrophe. Could it re-open the litigation?
Could EXXON counter-sue and get back some of its settlement? Will we
finally see a “criminal” conviction, maybe through direct
indictments for aiding and abetting this crime's success? Imagine the
critics having to do time! Stay tuned, as this is a must see
broadcast.
