From
the crypt of Theodolite Stevens:
Of course Dodd-Frank should be repealed, as it is a
DUD and getting in the way of my retirement! At first I thought Nancy
Pelosi and Elizabeth Warren were on to something, by threatening to
run naked through the House and Senate to demonstrate being annoyed
over a last minute measure that was secretly embedded in the
1600-page “CIA Torture Manual”, I meant “Budget” to keep the
government boozed up over the holidays! Look, it wasn't secretly
added, just trace Eric Cantor's movements that night after the “bill”
left Don Young's office – as Cantor is the new “running boy”
for “Big Bank! Now the Dodd-Frank “Prohibition” started out
with an intent to right a wrong and has worked to safeguard the U.S.
Treasury against pillaging from Wall Street jerks and brats. Hey, it
was raided once, so we needed action to prevent it from happening
again. Why in hell are a majority of Americans acting as wimps? That
was “our” money that was given away, yet we just roll over like
an abused puppy dog and wag a tail in the belief that new owner will
not abandon again – hey it's the same crook, just driving a
different “luxury” car! I would bet that in any other nation
wherein the “workers” have not been castrated, this kind of
“theft” would have warranted a “Revolution”. Imagine that an
English bloke realized this was happening to his or her loot, or for
that matter an Irishman, low and behold there would be suds
overflowing from the “Pubs” and a call to “Battle”. When I
become President, on Friday nights it will be mandatory to be present
at a “Pub”, so we can go over what happened in Congress over the
week wherein we were too busy working for a living – to pay
attention upon what was given away. See, we are tired as we must work
for a living when Congress, well “Does Nothing”. But behind the
scenes Congress is very active, ruining this nation as they realize
we are “tired”, and come the weekend, we just need a break and
not at all interested in what they gave away some more. They play out
their fantasies through the realization that we have become
complacent. Why? Because we place “Trust” in our representatives,
but that “Trust” disarranges itself and disengages when that oath
of conviction to eviction is taken. Sad, not what the forefathers had
in mind else they would have designed into the Constitution some
mighty safeguards against such tyranny, like laws against “Traitors”.
Here it is, during the financial meltdown orchestrated by George W.
Bush and company, the money we lost was not “torched”, it ended
up in someone else's “Offshore” account. It's that simple. When
financial markets collapse, the money doesn't disappear, it is just
re-distributed as it is against the law to “destroy” money –
except at those penny arcades that for a nickel can take a Lincoln
head and turn it into a Tea-Party pendant. But today many Americans
hoping to enjoy that life and liberty after already putting enough
away for that “pursuit of happiness” come retirement age, we find
ourselves in a dire straits situation that merits allowing the
prohibition on “gambling” to take a break. OK, even with all the
fuss over the “Budget” bill passed by the House then stalled for
a time waiting for Warren to undress, Obama has not shown any intent
to throw Americans under the bus. He succeeded in taking a train
wreck of a nation and at least got us back on track and even though
still going up hill, we know all about the Little Engine That Could,
“I think I can, I think I can”. So from what we have seen so far
with Obama, he knows what he is getting into, he is not looking for a
lucrative job on Wall Street when he exists the “Oval Office”.
See, when Obama voiced his opinion of concern that the “Budget”
bill before the “House” was a bipartisan effort, he was right! It
is good for America as it stands – so why in hell was Pelvis Pelosi
in a panty uproar that carried over to the Senate, wherein Worried
Warren had a podium conniption shit fit? Look, Wall Street investors
want to once again gamble with “hedge funds” and if the gamble
pays off, wow it could find a way to “fund” my retirement and
pension fund, yours also. To date, “CitiBank” estimates that due
a slow economy, there exists a $4-trillion dollar deficit in
America's ability to pay up, and not a penny of that is guaranteed by
the Federal government. That's the amount for 4-more WARS! So, the
barons on Wall Street want to “gamble”, in efforts to try and
fill the gap. It is a do or die situation. Else, Uncle Sam picks up
the loss maybe – namely the U.S. Taxpayers are hooked again – in
the tune of $12000 bucks per income generating American and this
could only be accomplished by raising taxes! Imagine if your income
from January through March was inherited by Uncle Sam, as a “New”
tax to fund the retirement and pension funds. Would we complain, not
unless we like shooting ourselves in the groin – Congress' favorite
American target. But herein is the catch. Congress has its own
retirement, that which is guaranteed by yours truly - so they have
nothing to worry or loose if the “gamble” backfires. Are they
playing Russian Roulette with our loot, yes! Wealthy individuals find
the same safety net when it comes to retirement. But the “Middle
Man”, well we have seen our pension funds stagnated and most
“funds” cannot and will not be able to ever pay up what was
forecast, for you and I to enjoy a few years left in a wheel chair.
So in the Cromnibus “Budget” bill passed by the House of
Representatives, 2-things were of interest. A “Gold Medal” for
Sarah Palin? And if the gamble pays off, maybe we can enjoy what we
worked so hard and long for, it is that simple. So the bipartisan
bill had a lot of merit and was nowhere near a “lame ducking” by
Obama - and even though we may not be in-tune to what it all means
maybe we can trust that the “gamble” was made in our “Best”
interest. If it fails, then we have only one recourse, to peacefully
assemble at the neighborhood “Pub”, pick up some grub and refuse
to go back to work until such time Wall Street is held accountable,
until such time Congress is held accountable. As without us at the
mills, without our presence at the airports to clean up and refuel
the planes, without us at construction sites – America becomes a
“Do Nothing” and when millions of Americans walk off the job,
that is everything in comparison to Congress walking off the job. We
have the power still. No matter how wealth is being unevenly
distributed towards more wealth for the already wealthy, we hold the
keys to success of this nation. It has nothing to do with race,
political ideologies, just pure “Salt of the Earth” Americanism –
something that does not hide behind gutless representation and
perverted justice, wherein the color of a man's skin finds no meaning
as when behind the welder's hood it doesn't matter and building
America is all that counts, or behind the wheel of that truck feeding
America from sea to shining sea, this is the America that Woody
Guthrie sang about – and it is still in us today, it is something
not even Wall Street can take away. When I see Obama in flight his
fight, wow, such a resemblance – something we need to show some
dignity upon.
A great American!
Another Great American!
