TAXATION

Coolidge was a “REPUBLICAN”, so was the Congress controlled by the “REPUBLICANS” during the Coolidge years. In those years, the Republican Congress passed several Revenue Acts supported by Coolidge, so it was a time when Congress and the Commander-in-Cheif worked for progress - one of the “ACTS” reduced income tax rates and eliminated the income tax for many Americans. During these years, under the Coolidge-Congressional Revenue Acts, Federal spending was flat and much of the Federal debt was retired. And above all...ONLY the RICHEST 2% of taxpayers paid any Federal Income TAX! And what do we see today...it will fail this nation, to bad we cannot learn from history!
